Another Scam

Don't panic. If you received an "Ecocan Notice", it's just another marketing scheme, and not a missed delivery.


The phone number on the bottom of the form takes you to a company in Mississauga ("W Systems"), who apparently are counting on your phone call to satisfy their marketing needs.

For me, the phone rang into a voicemail that claimed that, because of excess call volumes, you needed to leave a message regarding your "eco check" delivery.

There are a lot of reports of this campaign on ComplaintsCafe.com and WhoCallsMe.com.

If you are concerned, the best advice seems to be to contact the Canadian Government's Canadian Anti Fraud Centre.
