Cottage season approaches

About a week ago, the ice finally left the lake, or so I am told. The weather is fine, and the time is right. It's time to open the cottage.

I've got a lot planned for this year at the cottage. This year, I hope to

• repair the rotting log at the back door, and build new back step (done)
• complete the new dock
• repanel the guest and master bedrooms in pine tongue-and-groove, and
• replace the haul-out with a more permanent solution (done)

Of course, I'll take my time and enjoy myself. There's fish to catch, and a tan to cultivate.
